Date of last revision: May 04, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how TCGHunters.com ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and discloses information about you. This Privacy Policy applies for https://tcghunters.com, all of our websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services (collectively, our “Services”), engage with us on social media, or otherwise interact with us.

We may change this Privacy Policy periodically. If we make changes, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy. In certain cases, we may also provide additional notice (such as adding a statement to our website, sending you an email or providing you with a notification). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about how we collect, use, and protect your information, as well as the choices you have regarding your data.

1) Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect information that you provide directly to us. This includes details you submit when creating an account, completing forms, purchasing a membership, posting or submitting content through our Services, contacting our customer support, or communicating with us (whether directly or via third-party platforms). The personal information we may collect includes your name, display name, username, bio, email address, address, phone number, business details, and any content you choose to share, such as your avatar, photos, posts, responses, and published series, along with any other information you voluntarily provide.

We do not collect or store payment information directly through our Services. All payment transactions are processed by third-party providers. Any information you provide for payment purposes is submitted directly to those providers and is subject to their privacy policies. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any payment information.

Information We Collect Automatically When You Interact with Us

In some instances, we automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Activity Information: We collect information about your activity on our Services, such as your reading history and when you share links, follow users, highlight posts, and clap for posts.
  • Transactional Information: When you purchase a membership, we collect information about the transaction, such as subscription details, billing address, purchase price, and the date of the transaction.
  • Device and Usage Information: We collect information about how you access our Services, including data about the device and network you use, such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type, and app version. We also collect information about your activity on our Services, such as access times, pages viewed, links clicked, and the page you visited before navigating to our Services.
  • Information Collected by Cookies and Similar:

    If you prefer not to accept cookies, you can configure your browser settings to reject cookies from our websites. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service and limit your access to certain features or content.

    • Essential functionalities: Essential cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of our website. They enable core features such as user authentication, account management, and secure payment processing. We use these cookies to ensure the Service operates smoothly and to support basic functionality required for you to navigate and use key features of the site.
    • Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies such as cookies and web beacons to collect information about your interactions with our Services. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us enhance your experience, analyze usage patterns, identify popular features, and improve overall functionality. Web beacons (also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs") are tiny graphics embedded in our website or emails that assist in delivering cookies, counting visits, and understanding how the Services are used.
    • Third-party analytics: We may also work with third-party analytics providers who use these and other technologies,such as device identifiers, to collect information about your use of our Services and other websites or apps. This data may include your IP address, browser type, mobile network information, pages visited, time spent on pages or within the app, and links clicked. This information may be used by us and our partners to analyze trends, measure engagement, deliver personalized content, and gain insights into your online activity and preferences.
  • Information We Collect from Other Sources:

    We may obtain information about you from third-party sources. For example, we may receive data from social media platforms, accounting service providers, and analytics partners. If you create an account or log in through a third-party platform—such as Apple, Facebook, Google, or Twitter—we may access certain information associated with your profile on that platform. This may include your name, profile picture, birthday, and lists of friends or followers, depending on the permissions you grant and the platform’s authorization procedures.

2) Use of Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and enhance our Services. This includes supporting user-generated content, personalizing the content you see, and managing our metered paywall. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account(s);
  • Process payments and transactions, and send related communications such as confirmations, receipts, and user experience surveys;
  • Deliver technical notices, security alerts, and administrative messages;
  • Respond to your inquiries, comments, and support requests;
  • Communicate with you about new content, features, products, or services, and provide news and updates we believe may be of interest to you;
  • Monitor usage, trends, and user activity to better understand how our Services are used;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity, and protect the rights, safety, and property of our users and Services;
  • Identify and fix bugs or errors in our Services;
  • Fulfill our legal, regulatory, and financial obligations;
  • Carry out any other purpose disclosed at the time your information was collected or with your consent.

3) How we share information

We may share your personal information under the following circumstances, or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy:

  • With Other Users of the Services: If you engage with public features of the Services, such as publishing content, posting comments, or sending private notes, certain information about you may be visible to other users. This may include your display name, profile photo, bio, public account details, and activity on the platform (e.g., followers, followed users, recent posts, claps, highlights, and responses).
  • With Service Providers and Partners: We share personal information with vendors, service providers, and consultants who require access to such data to perform tasks on our behalf. These include companies providing web hosting, cloud storage, analytics, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer support, security, communications, and marketing services.
  • To Comply with Legal Obligations: We may disclose personal information if required by law, legal process, or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., law enforcement or national security agencies). Where legally permissible, we will notify you of such disclosures so you have an opportunity to object, unless prohibited by law or if doing so could endanger others or lead to illegal activity. We also reserve the right to challenge requests we believe are improper.
  • To Protect Rights and Safety: We may share personal information when we believe it is necessary to enforce our terms, protect our rights, investigate suspected unlawful activity, or ensure the safety of our users and the public.
  • With Legal and Professional Advisors: We may share personal information with our legal counsel and other professional advisors when necessary to obtain advice or protect our legal and business interests.
  • In the Event of a Business Transaction: Your information may be shared or transferred in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction.
  • With Affiliates: Personal information may be shared among TCGHunters.com SASU, its current or future parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other entities under common ownership and control.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your personal information with third parties when you give us your explicit consent or direct us to do so.
  • Aggregated or De-Identified Data: We may share aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you. This information is used for research, analytics, or reporting purposes.

4) Third-Party Embeds

Some content displayed on our Services is hosted by third parties, not by us directly. Users may post content that is embedded from external platforms, such as videos, images, or social media posts, known as “Embeds.” Although the content appears within our pages, it is served from the third-party provider.

When you interact with an Embed, information about your interaction may be transmitted to the third party as though you visited their site directly. For example, viewing an embedded YouTube video may result in YouTube receiving data such as your IP address, browser type, and the portion of the video you watched.

We do not control the data collection practices of third parties through Embeds, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to their collection or use of your information. The third party’s own privacy policy governs how your data is handled, and we strongly recommend reviewing their privacy policies before engaging with embedded content.

If we receive a privacy-related request from an authorized agent acting on your behalf, we may require proof that the agent has valid written authority to act for you. This may include providing a copy of a power of attorney or other legally acceptable documentation. We may also require you to verify your identity directly with us before processing the request.
